Verified Reviewer |Immoral And Unethical Business Practices
DO NOT buy anything from these people. Their business model for return or refund is unethical, corrupt and illogical.
I bought a gift item for someone else from their website for a birthday June 3rd 3024, the item came alright enough, but was the wrong size from what I ordered initially. I wrapped it as a gift UNOPENED til the person's birthday on June 20th 2024, when the birthday came it wasnt the brand type they liked so I immediately went online to initiate a return order with an order number. It was still packaged in the original bubble wrap and the box was inside still UNOPENED. It got dropped off June 21st the very next day to an authorized FED EX dropoff center location, it starting tracking the same day in the system. They admitted to "receiving" the item back to on June 24th 2024.
I waited a good 10 calendar days afterwards before contacting them about my refund (July 4th/5th),the response was it would take an additional 10 days to "inspect" the item."inspect the item?" It was UNOPENED what is there to "inspect?" "So you open and unopened product just to inspect if it was opened??? Make it make sense... After ten more days July 15th, I contacted them again about the refund and the the response came by email the night before I called back , having the gaul and audacity to say that they wouldnt issue me a refund for a product they admitted to receiving, but yet back treading saying the box was delivered to them EMPTY??? wHAT KIND OF SCAM ARE YOU RUNNING ON ME???
What kind of sense does that make, you sound ignorant. I called the very next day,July 16th and spoke to some low-level uninformed customer representative who claimed their "department of refunds" now saying they received an "empty box."An empty box???' No you admitted to initially receiving and on arrival delivery June 25th Saks did in fact receive their product back, sent me an email stating as such, and the item when received by Fed Ex was 5lbs in weight including the extra wrapping and the product weighed 3lbs by itself UNOPENED in it's original factory bubble wrapping and the box you shipped it to me in... So not only are you dishonest ,but now you're messing with my reputation on the consumer side as well as a seller on other platforms with 100% feedback, that nowhere in my 20 years of buying ,selling or returning have I ever gave anything to anyone that wasnt given to me,much less empty, and the shipping company verified it wasnt empty upon receiving it to be shipped, so you are all liars , repeating the same lies like parrots, in addition so now you're slandering their company name as well (Fed Ex). So now you're saying you don't respect nor honor your company return policies, but furthermore don't respect your customer base AND you're not moral nor honest to add to that.
I called the last time August 8th 2024, but not before filing a report with the regulatory board Consumer Protection Agency August 2nd 2024. They still refused to refund my money for the product they definitely got back in mint condition, but closed the escalation case twice before after they admitted they got the item on the previous claim calls/email s (2) etc.. and the box WAS NOT in fact empty.. Furthermore, this item was paid via Klarna and they now still wants payments that are no longer paused for an item that Sak Fifth Avenue clearly received.
So now this has ruined my newly established reputation for payment history with Klarna as well because they didn't do their due diligence either to investigate it thoroughly. I'm not paying them or Saks Twice for a item they admitted to receiving, and gave absolutely no viable reason for keeping my money for.. They are liars, corrupt, unethical evil and immoral, do not endorse or buy from them online on their official store site or in the store. They definitely deserve every bit of what's coming ahead in the economy when retailers are already struggling to keep their doors open, they will go out of business completely practicing this way to vulnerable customers where money and profits are more valuable and important than customer relations...
Who does this to innocent people, the disabled, elderly, just consumers in general???
You're that thirsty for an almighty dollar that you will stoop to the gutter to treat your first time customers or a loyal customer base this way??? DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM SAKS FIFTH AVENUE.
- Immoral
- Corrupt
- Greedy
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Go somewhere else to make your purchases to retailers that value their customer base and practice moral and ethical standards which this business does not do...

Verified Reviewer |Disgrace of a company
They stole 3k dollars from me by "delivering" two orders to a random building in Miami, orders which stated by themselves wouldn't be delivered if I DIDN'T RECEIVE in person and signed due to the luxurious nature of the items. They proceeded to let them in some random lobby to be stolen and when I get an agent they always tell me how sorry they are and end the chat.
No wonder friends and family were surprised when I tell them I shopped at Saks. What a *** trash site and company hope it bankrupts soon and we just might see that.
User's recommendation: DONT BUY HERE EVER
Extremely difficult to return product that is misrepresented. Good American dress waist marked 23.5 inches and when I measured the waist it was 12 inches!! Impossible to fit and they will not refund.
Extremely difficult to return product that is misrepresented/mislabeled. Good American brand dress waist marked XS and runs big @ 23.5 inches and when I measured the waist it was 12 inches!!
Impossible to fit and they will not refund.
Like I purchased a Barbie dress. Do not shop at Saks, they do not care about their customers!
User's recommendation: Shop at Nordstrom or Macy’s
Billing
Feb 2 I purchased two dresses in the store and within five days I returned the dresses tags on,never worn.Today I received notice that my credit card would be credited within the next seven days. That is a full month. This is not acceptable.
No other store has this policy plus referring to me as a pissed.
Customer is incredibly rude and disrespectful. I will never set foot in fifth Avenue again.
User's recommendation: Don’t shop at Saks
Saks has not refunded my return over 30 days
I ordered a formal gown February 1, 2025. I immediately placed garnet neck in the box and returned promptly, because it didnt fit,
Ive spoken with Customer Service in another country, who said they received the returned package.
They said it could take longer to revive credit!
Over 30 days and no credit issued over $800! Poor customer service!

Verified Reviewer |My Oder is not satisfied… fake perfume…
There's no smell at all, just alcohol. Quite disappointed with the large company, Saks Fifth, that sells fake products to customers.
Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered
I feel I am being scammed, I have been patient waiting for my refund it’s after 30 days I was told my refund was being processed only to find no claim was made.
Every time I call I was told my refund was being processed which was a lie because a claim was never made until today 1/29now I was asked to wait for another 7 days. I have been so disappointed with this company.
User's recommendation: I will not recommend no one

Verified Reviewer |Very responsive
customer service wanted to help but i think their hands were tied. I have heard that the private equity that owns Saks is preserving their cash for the purchase of Neimans and so not giving credits for months

Verified ReviewerReturns Credit
I returned a dress purchased from Saks Fifth Avenue. It was received by Saks on 11/14.
Today is 12/26 and I still have not been credited for the return. I called customer service. They said it can take a month before a credit is issued. When I said that's ridiculous, the representative said, 'I know, right?' When I asked how I could expedite the credit or speak to someone more senior, she said all I could do is wait.
I'm never ordering from Saks again.
They received my payment on 10/30 and essentially are making money while I potentially wait for two months. That's terrible customer service.
- Designer clothing
- Waiting thirty days for credit after receipt of item
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Do NOT order online from Saks Fifth Avenue
Order not delivered

Verified Reviewer |Price adjustment
Terrible accommodation for what was basically an exchange. Then reduced in price.
The store still has not posted the return to my credit card carrier! They indicated that that may take a month! Yet, my window for price adjustment is 7 days from date of order placed.
It did not arrive for nearly a week, so catch 22. I won’t buy from Saks again.
A purchase of merchandise was made the sizing and the finish was incorrect. It was sent back and replaced with a smaller size that was in better shape and before the customer could even wear the item I was sent an email indicating that it cost 15% less than what was paid, and that price adjustment was not honored. So you have just lost a Saks Fifth Avenue customer.
User's recommendation: Don’t shop at Saks Fifth Avenue. Much better customer service and regulated pricing at Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus.

Verified Reviewer |Price adjustment
Price keeps changing and no adjustments will be made to consumer.
Sale code sent 8 days after receipt of merch and is considered outside of the stores adjustment policy. Every other high end store wouldve honored the adjustment.
Sad, Saks has gone the way of other former great American Companies: RUINED
Never shopping at Saks again. After 50 years, horrible.
Data mining and no service, no grace. fffffcfff offff
